Is fainting normal in pregnancy? In the past week while I've been in the shower, I have had to get out suddenly because I am about to faint! I've fainted a few times in my life... once right after I gave blood, and the other time was completely random. But does pregnancy cause you to faint more often? The first time in this last week, I almost fainted and then I threw up! Then this morning I almost fainted again, but didn't throw up (though I felt like I was going to). I hope my body isn't just weird!!

Kelly,
I think it is pretty normal to get light headed and dizzy as a pregnant woman, but I would still bring it up to your doctor.
It could mean you stood up too fast, are anemic (those babies get everything good and don't leave much for you), or you aren't getting enough to eat or drink!
I've never heard of fainting being a symptom of pregnancy. You could be dehydrated, or anemic like Brooke said. I would call the doctor today for sure!
Hey Kelly this is Brittany,
I had the same thing happen to me when I had to give blood. I've never fainted before but I almost did, got really dizzy/pale/shaky when I was giving blood at a routine doctors appointment. The next time I had to give blood (so fun the perks of pregnancy!) I was fine though. So maybe if it happens again let your dr. know but nothing came of it with me. Good luck with everything!!!
I think it's normal for some. My Mom has said that when she was pregnant she got light-headed all the time. I get light-headed a lot too, so she has told me to be careful when I'm pregnant because it could get worse. I'm curious what the doctor will say. Let me know? :)
Thanks guys. I haven't called yet, but the first time it happened I hadn't eaten breakfast yet, and then the second time, I hadn't eaten lunch yet. Maybe it was that, mixed with the heat and the super-powered shower hitting my stomach had something to do with it?
Hey congrats! I saw your blog on Mike and Jen's page. Fainting is definitely normal. I have low blood pressure too. Doesn't it seem like everyone is having babies this year? Crazy.........It's cool to see what is going on with everyone. Glad things are going well. Say hi to your husband for me. Good luck with the joys of pregnancy!
My mom had the same problem. When she was pregnant and showering she would have to get out a few times just so she wouldn't faint. But make sure you ask the doctor just to be sure. Hope you feel better!
And about the car...all I know is that Wendy Holmes is selling hers so you can look at her blog through mine if she isn't already on yours.
Ya, it is normal. Don't stress. :)
Hey, it's Kelly (Fullmer) Warren. That was one of the early signs of pregnancy for me. It happened a lot with the morning showers. It's just part of the whole morning sickness thing. You can stop it by not showering in the morning.
