Lyla would be the happiest little girl around if she only had one thing... a dog. Really any pet, but she LOVES dogs! She is always asking to pet other people's dogs and she tells me all the time, "Mom, I don't like cats but I LOVE dogs. Cat's scratch me." Which is true, a cat did scratch her once. Anyway, if we had a few extra thousand dollars hanging around, we would totally have a dog. We have a house and a big yard... gosh it would be perfect. But alas, we do not. So we have to settle for this....
That's right, a giant black spider with purple sparkles. It is one of our halloween decorations that you can hang from the ceiling. Instead, Lyla has been dragging it around telling everyone "You can pet it if you want to! He's SOOOO nice!". I would hang it but I don't know if I have the heart to take away her first "pet", whom she loves so dearly. So, maybe I'll let her have 19 more days of bliss. Two words: Pet Deprived

Dogs don't have to cost thousands! ;) Just look into rescue groups and pet insurance, totally worth it. Just a thought.

Haha, ok, maybe I was exaggerating a little. But I don't even think we can afford to buy it dog food every month!
Lyla is so hilarious. I told Nate the other day that she needs her own reality show. I wouldn't miss a single episode!
I hope my puppy didn't contribute to this pet deprivation! I'm sure my little guy would love to come play in your big back yard sometime.
